My wife and I recently visited Montreal and tried all the so-called famous Montreal Smoked Meat delis in the city. From the friendly customer service, to old time home-style atmosphere to exceptionally fresh and tasty product, Lester's Deli was by far the best. We brought product home after our trip but I just had to order more. I couldn't believe how easy the transaction was and, most importantly, how quickly it arrived. From the time I ordered until the time it arrived to my small town on Vancouver Island was only 26 hours! We'll do our best to ration but I just know we'll be ordering again soon. Of course, our next trip to Montreal in the fall will have us making our first stop to Lester's Deli on Bernard.

Hello!
I wanted to write and thank you so much for going above & beyond the call of duty! Last Thursday --just after 5:00-- I called trying to arrange for some Lester's goodies to be sent to Ontario in time for Mother's Day, for both my mom and my husband's mom.
Because it was after 5:00, it looked like the earliest we would be able to get both parcels to Toronto would be Tuesday. (Serves me right for leaving it to the last minute!)
But somehow you guys managed to do it. I don't know how, but both parcels arrived Friday morning at their respective destinations! We received overjoyed calls from our moms who loved the package of yummy meats and bagels. Thanks for making my husband and I look like good kids to our parents!
I've always told people how awesome Lester's Deli is --both the food and the people-- and now I have yet another reason to spread the word.

I can’t believe how good it is. I just finished my fourth sandwich in three days.
Every time I get back to Montreal to visit my sister, the first request I have is for smoked meat. When your box was delivered, I must admit I was skeptical.
The skepticism did not last long. Your smoked meat, rye bread, cole slaw and pickles were DELICIOUS, and far surpassed anything I’ve found in the Toronto or Mississauga area.

On Aug. 18th, I had 4 pounds of your smoked meat delivered to Mississauga, Ont. to be, then, taken to an island in the Georgian Bay for a family reunion. I was nervous to do so because I didn't know what yours was like, having always had Schwartz's. Everytime my family visited me in Montreal, smoked meat was a treat so I wanted to surprise them with some while we were on the island. It was boiled and put on a platter to be brought to the lodge for lunch where everone was waiting. Just arriving with the platter elicited a round of applause as they smelled the delicious aroma of the meat going by. Honest to goodness! - with every bite by 12 people there were more kudos than I could have ever hoped for. Those who usually don't have seconds of anything were coming back for thirds! I wish you could have heard the 'oh's' and 'ah's'. It would have made a perfect commercial for you. It was absolutely delicious! Better than Schwartz's. And even though I ordered it lean (not a bit of fat was on it) it did not take away from the wonderful flavor. All I can say is 'Perfect'. It's very rare that a company lives up to its commercials but yours definitely did. Thank you.

Dear People at Lester's Deli -
Since last summer I had been hearing about 'Montreal's finest smoked sandwich' when my husband and son returned from an annual trip to Canada. So, what better holiday gift for them than a supply of Mr. Smoked Meat and rye bread?
The woman who helped me on the phone could not have been nicer or more attentive. She was also very knowledgable about advising me on shipping costs to the States, and within 24 hours our package was received. Thanks to you, this will surely be counted among their best Christmases ever!

It has been 9 years since I lived in Montreal and I have been having a
serious craving for Montreal food. My wife is has been hearing about smoked
meat, poutine, and Fairmont bagels for many years. Seeing as she is from
England and has not been to Montreal I managed to build up very high
expectations. Honestly, I wasn't sure if shipped food was going to live up
to the expectations. Needless to say your food and service exceeded
them...it was exactly what I remembered. Not only is my wife now a big fan
of Lester's but she is looking forward to meeting you both when we manage to
visit Montreal. Thanks for providing a wonderful weekend of proper Montreal

Unbelievable! I made my order on Thursday evening and, Monday evening my wife and I were sampling one of Montreal`s finest here in Tokyo, Japan!!. Can`t tell you enough how much joy you can bring to me in only 72 hours. I am fortunate to return home to Montreal every year and visit your establishment in person. However to those out there unable to come to Montreal, Bill`s Montreal smoked meat sandwich is worth every Yen, Dollar, Penny, Pound and Franc.

Dear Sir:
We received our order in Orlando, Florida at 10:45 AM, the morning after we ordered it. For lunch, while watching 'Days Of Our Lives,' we each devoured a 6 oz. smoked meat sandwich, 2 cherry peppers, 1 dill pickle, and all the coleslaw. That was our only mistake. We only ordered 1 package of coleslaw. We have only been eating all your food since it arrived.
My poor wife is eating double the amount of food she usually eats in a day. But she is sleeping better too. I shouldn't say this, but it made her a nicer person. I guess it all balances out in the end. Lester's will be on our daily menu in the future and our menu for special events, parties, etc.
Great food, great delivery, and easy preparation! Lester's is truly the 'Restaurant Of The New Millennium.'

I found your website on Thursday morning and my mouth watered. My wife and I have visited your place every time we have been in Montreal and have always been satisfied.
I placed an order with your site Thursday morning, October 26, and told my wife we would be having Lester's Smoked Meat sandwiches for lunch on Friday--she laughed at me. True to your word, the courier arrived at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, and we just finished our lunch. IT WAS FABULOUS! The freshness and aroma of the smoked meat, coleslaw and pickles was as if we had captured the very essence of your establishment in a bag, took it home and opened it on our patio.
It is refreshing indeed to find a website that delivers on the claims they make concerning their product line and delivery service. In terms of customer satisfaction we would rank Lester's Deli as a 10+++. You will DEFINITELY be getting repeat orders from our household.

Not only is my order fresh and tasty . . . not even a drop of your homemade mustard spilled. I don't think my family will ever eat store brands again! Even my six-month-old likes smoked meat.

I'm sorry I didn't have much time to chat on the phone earlier today. My work keeps me pretty busy later in the day.
I do want to tell you how much I appreciated your service. I had a smoked meat sandwich at dinner today, and I loved it! It was perfectly packaged and very tasty with your rye bread and mustard. I really appreciate the fact that you cared enough to check on the package as to whether or not it got here to Boston. Not many businesses would bother to do that. Your ways of doing business impressed me, and I will make it a point to do business with you again in the future. A few people at work sampled the smoked meat as well, and they were impressed. They said it was unlike anything they had ever tasted, which is a good thing.

I want to thank you for your speedy and excellent service, and thought you would like to know the length of time it took. Not long, as you can see--overnight.
More delicious than I could have dreamed. I tried the 'old-fashioned' first, and have frozen the others for future use. Had to give my sister one package, and she too was overjoyed. I cannot thank you enough. Of course I will order again as soon as I use what I have.
